-Ones you get undressed and cover your body with a pestemal, a piece of cloth made of silk or cotton and wear your nalin which is a wooden clog that prevents you from slipping, you’ll be ready to get into sicaklik for soaking up steam and poor warm water on yourself with a copper bowl.

-When your skin is softened enough you will lay on ‘Gobek Tasi’, (navel stone) big marble set in the middle of the bath. You will be scrubbed by the expert hands of our ‘tellak’ with a ‘kese’(a piece of linen helps peeling  the dead skin off  gently). At the end you will see the dead skin fall out like tootsy rolls.
